Hyundai’s flagship model, the Yaris, was the first car to feature the now-ubiquitous USB-C port.
Today, Apple’s iPhone XS and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 feature a new, faster version of the Lightning connector.
These are the first two-year-old smartphones to offer USB-A 3.0 ports.
Hyosung, the Chinese carmaker that makes the iconic Hyosun sport-utility vehicles, announced Tuesday it has been acquired by Hyundai for $1.2 billion, making it the largest carmaker in the world.
Hyongsung has a long history in car design, having built many cars in the past, including the iconic Yaris.
It also makes a variety of other cars, from SUVs to pickup trucks.
The sale comes at a time when other automakers are increasingly looking to expand their reach into the automotive market.
General Motors and Nissan are working on an electric crossover, while General Motors has been aggressively marketing its Bolt electric car.
Tesla’s Model 3 is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2018, but the company’s stock price has been on a steep slide since last fall.
The stock is now down about 80 percent from its peak in 2017.
Hyongas sales are not all good news for the company.
The company has a $1 billion loan guarantee from the U.S. government, and the loans are supposed to last until 2020.
The government also has promised to help the company build a factory in China.
In a press release, Hyongsung said that the deal with Hyundai is a “significant milestone” for the Chinese auto company.
It will enable it to continue investing in technology and expand its product portfolio in the U, it said.
Hyoyeon, the main company that makes Hyundai’s Yaris sports car, is also looking to diversify its product offerings.
The Yaris is not the only carmaker to focus on electric cars, but it is the first luxury sedan in the automotive sector.
Hyungas Yaris will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
This is the same engine found in the current generation of the Nissan Leaf and its larger brother, the Nissan LEAF.
Hyongyang, the largest supplier of vehicles for Hyundai, has a major share of the global car market, which includes the BMW Group, Audi, Volkswagen, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, and BMW.
Hyongho, a joint venture between Hyundai and Toyota, produces about 95 percent of the vehicles in the global auto market.
Hyangas biggest rival, Toyota Motor, is now known for its Prius.
The brand, which launched its Prizm in 2020, has been the target of numerous lawsuits, including from car companies like Nissan and Hyundai.
