Man accused of stealing auto parts from Ohio airport

MANHATTAN, Kan.

— An Omaha man is accused of allegedly stealing more than 2,000 auto parts and other items from an airport in the past several years, according to a criminal complaint.

A federal grand jury in Omaha on Wednesday indicted Joseph M. Jahnke, 54, on charges that he illegally obtained and sold the stolen goods at the Omaha Airport.

He also allegedly stole hundreds of dollars in cash, according the complaint.

Jhanke’s bail was set at $5 million, and a hearing on his case is scheduled for July 29 in federal court in Omaha.

The complaint says that Jahnkes mother works as a flight attendant for United Airlines.

The Omaha Police Department is investigating the theft of items from the airport.
